AN IMPORTANT QUESTION REGARDING TIM AND ERIC’S BILLION DOLLAR MOVIE
Today, I saw Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie (TAEBDM). So many questions, of course, but mainly one that’s very timely. With all of the clips of Rango inserted by the studio/distributors, the film is now about 45-48% Rango.
NOW- seeing as how Rango is an Academy Award (tm)-nominated film, does this mean that TAEBDM is also, technically, an Academy Award (tm)-nominated film? At least in part? I’m not sure if there is a specific percentage that needs to be hit, or what? I know, in 2002, there was a similar situation with footage from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron spliced into National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, where they just let them share the Animated Feature nod.
Is anyone out there an important celebrity or “industry-connected” and would have some insight into this?
